Keywords with zero visits in Google Analytics

If you haven’t yet noticed yet, some keywords in your Google Analytics account will display zero visits:

0 (zero) visits keywords

0 (zero) visits keywords

The reason for this strange report is multiple search visits within a session (30 minutes).

For example, if someone goes on Google and searches for “internet marketing company” and clicks on your website, then he goes back on Google within 30 minutes and searches for “best internet marketing company” and clicks again on your website, Google Analytics will show:

Google’s New Trademark Policy: How Beneficial is it?

As most of you might already know, effective June 15th of this year, Google is starting to allow the use of trademark terms in the ad text. Every time an advertiser submits his ads that contain a trademark term, the ads will be “under review” before it can start showing. The review process basically exams whether the advertisers meet the criteria to use trademark terms in their ad texts.

Yahoo Search Marketing Interface Reporting Delay

Well, Yahoo has done it again!

This morning when I was doing my routine checkups on the Yahoo accounts that we are managing, I was seeing “0” in all the stat fields. At first I thought there was something wrong with the accounts, but I immediately remembered that just a while ago, Yahoo had a reporting delay which took them days to fix, and this might very well be another one.

RSS Feeds – Suggested Changes

I usually receive about 100 feeds per day from various RSS sources. Probably 10 of them are what I actually am interested in. What’s bothering me is, if you subscribed to a blog that has more than one category you will receive feed from all categories, no matter what. When I subscribe to an RSS feed, I would like to be able to

  1. choose a specific category to receive feeds from. Right now when you subscribe to majority of the blogs – including ours ;( – you receive feeds for all categories.
